Lewis is an Associate Research Fellow at the European Centre for Environment and Human Health (ECEHH) and is currently working on the European Commission funded Horizons 2020 ‘BlueHealth’ project which investigates connections between Europe’s urban waterways and human health and well-being. Prior to this he undertook a PhD at the University of Exeter which examined how best to promote physical activity in natural environments. He has also held posts at Natural England where he was responsible for bespoke analysis of the Monitor of Engagement with the Natural Environment (MENE) survey, the world’s largest survey on access to and enjoyment of the natural environment.”
